WAYNETOWN - Lou Helen Palin, 90, a native of Newtown, died at 5:40 p.m. Monday in Carmen Nursing Home at Crawfordsville. Miss Palin was formerly a private music teacher in Fountain and Montgomery counties. She was a member of Wingate United Methodist Church. She had attended Skinner School of Music at Bloomington, Ill. She had lived 35 years at Phoenix, Ariz., before returning to Indiana in June 1978. She was born July 17, 1888, near Newtown, a daughter of Hirman H. and Lottie E. Scott Palin. Survivors are a brother, Ben Palin of Bradenton, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Inez DeVault of Crawfordsville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Scott Palin and Harry Palin. There will be no services or visitation. The body will be cremated, with burial and family graveside services to be at a later date. Arrangments are being made by Thomas Funeral Home at Waynetown. - jlr
